Mustafa Jama Managing Director
Mustafa is head and chief investment officer of Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners Fund of Hedge Funds; he is also a member of the Morgan Stanley AIP Fund of Hedge Funds Investment Committee. He joined Morgan Stanley AIP in 2004 and has more than 16 years of relevant industry experience. Before joining the firm, Mustafa was a managing director and head of manager sourcing for Glenwood Capital Investments, and was a director and portfolio manager at Deutsche Bank Absolute Return Strategies; both are fund of hedge funds managers. Prior to that, he managed client capital at Bankers Trust / Deutsche Bank, utilizing option strategies in equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities and also managed Deutsche Bank's proprietary capital. Mustafa received a B.S. in civil engineering from Southern University, Baton Rouge and an M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Southern California. He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

 

Charlotte Shropshire Executive Director
Charlotte is a portfolio specialist for Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners. Charlotte joined Morgan Stanley AIP in 2007 and has 11 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, Charlotte worked in investment management and U.S. institutional equity sales at Goldman Sachs. Before that, she worked as a consultant in the financial advisory group at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Charlotte received a B.A. in government and art history from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. in finance from Stern School of Business, New York University.
